French and foreign artists in search of new motifs were quickly attracted to Le Faouët, as early as the middle of the 19th century. Installed in a former 12th century Ursuline convent, the museum was inaugurated in 1987 and today houses a collection of nearly 400 works (paintings, drawings, engravings, etc.) presented in rotation during temporary exhibitions. Ce petit musée au cœur de la Bretagne ne fait pas de chichi, les bâtiments sont ce qu'ils sont, à l'intérieur comme à l'extérieur mais lorsque l'on apprécie L'ART, le vrai, le simple, le beau, celui qui vous fait monter la larme à l'œil et dresser les poils, alors peu importe la coquille!!!!
