CAIRN OF THE ISLAND OF GAVRINIS
Megalithic monument in Larmor-Baden, 50 m in diameter by 6 m high, suitable for organizing several types of visits.
You don't need to be a history buff to be amazed by the interior of the monument. This 6,000 year old monument is entirely sculpted. All the visitors agree to say that the place is exceptional, the visit breathtaking and each one comments, in turn, the smoothness of the engravings, their profusion, debates on their symbols or imagines the life of these distant ancestors. To reach the cairn of Gavrinis, you can book a boat trip and embark from the slipway of Pen Lannic.

Opening time and information on CAIRN OF THE ISLAND OF GAVRINIS
From mid-March to the end of September every day - Off season: Closed on Monday -. From 10am to 6:30pm (March, April, May, June, September) and from 10am to 8pm during the summer vacations (July and August). Free until 4 years old. Adult : 18 €. Children (10 to 17 years old) : 8 € (4 € from 4 to 10 years old). Group (20 people): 16 € (+ 1 free person for 20 people). Price with crossing. Reception 30m before boat departure (1h in July/August). Vacation voucher. Children welcome. Guided tour. Restaurant. Store. Animations. Parking on the port and in the town of Larmor-Baden.
Personnel très compétent et très agréable
Nous étions passés un nombre incalculable de fois en voilier devant l’îlot de Gavrinis sans jamais avoir eu le temps et l’occasion d’aller le visiter - cela vaut vraiment le détour.
Les gravures à l’intérieur du Cairn sont magnifiques, et les explications des guides très intéressantes.
