Carnac offers beautiful beaches (like the Grande Plage, Saint-Colomban beach, Légénèse and Ty Bihan beaches, or the Beaumer and Men Dû beaches) pleasantly sheltered and famous for their fine sand, their gentle slopes or the clarity of their water. The city is certified as for the quality of its swimming water and is listed in zone A (high quality water). Exceptional natural heritage, the Carnac littoral is preserved. Areas for bathing is supervised on the Grande Plage and the Saint-Colomban beach during summer. Carnac is also the bathing area for all thanks to the Tourisme et Handicap label.

Carnac possède plusieurs plages de sable, qui sont grandes mais vite prises d'assaut l'été. Il y a de nombreux parkings, gratuits ou pas, pour se garer à proximité ce qui est très pratique. Les plages sont propres et agréables.

On y est allé en février du coup pas grand monde, mais le spectacle avec le reflet du soleil sur la mer, c'est magnifique. L'été cela doit être vraiment agréable avec le sable blond et fin. Entre les petites dunes, le sable et la mer, c'est SUPER

Plages propres avec un des sables les plus fins que je connaisse. Quand le vent souffle, préférez les plages de Ty Bihan et Légenèse qui sont abritées. A marée basse, on s'adonne à la pêche à pieds en famille et c'est très chouette!

We did not swim given the season but our son has to spend hours, has to collect shellfish and has to make sandcastles!
Very pleasant because very clean and not too far from the centre and shops for break afternoon snack.

The large beach of CARNAC is very pleasant family.
Clean beach, fine sand.
Ideal for swimming with children by high tide, because you depth quite far.
Ideal also by low tide for fishing on foot.
