A charming English-style park with many species of trees, a listed château and on-site gîtes.

Created in the 19th century, this 25-hectare English-style park was designed by Denis Bülher, the man behind the gardens in Rennes' Parc du Thabor. You'll discover many different species, including gigantea redwoods, Chinese yews, magnolias, palm trees and Duchess Anne's tree, a chestnut tree under which she is said to have sat. The château is a listed historic monument. The estate also offers two gîtes in the Orangerie and the Porterie.

Demander 5 euros pour se promener dans le parc est particulièrement malvenu d'autant que rien n'est fait pour présenter nombre d'arbres remarquables ni inciter les visiteurs à profiter des points de vue en leur accordant quelques bancs ou bergères. Si l'on ne possède pas une application pour identifier les espèces végétales ou arboricoles du parc on circule là dedans comme dans n'importe quel parc de n'importe quel endroit pubic, comme des touristes décérébrés.

What a beautiful surprise in the middle of the countryside! Although the Chateau is private, but the Étang and the Forest is open to the public! Stay at the Cosy En Lann in the village of Antrain and drive over to the Chateau to enjoy the stunning grounds!
