A museum paying tribute to the Terre-Neuvas in Saint-Malo, where you'll discover a collection of paintings and ship models.

This museum pays tribute to the Newfoundlanders, cod fishermen from February to October, often in heavy weather. It is fascinating to discover their life from the 16th century to the 20th century when they left their wives and children to go off the coast of Canada, on the banks of Newfoundland. We discover reconstructions of scenes of life on board the Newfoundlanders, a collection of paintings and models of ships. Visitors are greeted by former Newfoundlanders who are full of anecdotes.

Un musée hors du commun et géré par des bénévoles passionnés. Nous avons eu une visite guidée en petit comité, très enrichissante et remplie d'anecdotes. Nous recommandons vivement cette sortie à faire en famille.

We were very pleased to have discovered this museum where we were given so much attention by the staff and volunteers (perhaps everyone is a volunteer) who have such thorough knowledge (some from experience) and who obviously obtain great enjoyment from taking visitors through the extensive exhibits.

Musée très bien fait, des bénévoles qui connaissent leurs sujet,
Je recommande fortement ce lieu, l'histoire des terre neuva raconté par des vrais marin qui ont fait terre neuve.
Pour ne pas oublier la dureté des pêches à la morue.
