A fort set in the past of Malouin and at the heart of great maritime battles, with a panorama as striking as its history.
Le Petit Bé takes you back to Malouin's past and to the heart of great sea battles. Its history leaves its mark, as does the panorama of the Grand Bé opposite. Commissioned by Louis XIV, the architect Vauban reinforced military fortifications along the French coast, including Saint-Malo, the future leading port of France. Guided tours present the defense systems of the Bay of Saint-Malo, an exhibition on the tidal mechanism, models of the five forts in the bay, three cannons on naval carriages and the exhibition on Vauban in Brittany.

Il n'y a pas de mot pour décrire cette forteresse Vauban ! Uniquement accessible à marée basse,le petit Bé est majestueux ! Visite payante mais inoubliable !! A ne pas oublier qu'il faut aussi parcourir les remparts d'Intra Muros pour découvrir un panorama sur toute la baie!

Le Petit Bé est à voir. A cet endroit repose Chateaubriand. Sa stèle ainsi que la plaque funéraire avec ce qu'il y a d'écrit est assez émouvant.
On y accède par marée basse, mais attention de ne pas se faire piéger par la marée montante qui est très rapide et qui peut vite vous encercler.
Attention toutefois, c'est compliqué avec une poussette.

Pour y aller, on y va par marée basse, nous sommes arrivé la par un super temps sans un nuage à l'horizon.. après 20 minutes un "grain" est arrivé.. Avec brumes et pluie (température descendue de 10 degrés environ). Sommes reparti alors que la marrée remontait et elle a été plus rapide que nous... Résultat, on a fait demi-tour, sommes remonté près su du guide.. et sommes reparti en bateau avec lui, son collègue et son chien... Expérience inoubliable :)
