UBUNTU LA BASCULE

La Bascule is defined as an "ubuntu" coffee, a concept from sub-Saharan Africa that encompasses the ideas of mutual aid, sharing, solidarity, equity, community spirit... La Bascule was born from a group of people who were militant and committed to these notions, and whose aim was to make them germinate through the establishment of a resource centre in the city of Rennes. Much more than an associative bar where you can drink local beers, natural wines, herbal teas from local herbalists or eat competitively priced dishes made with healthy ingredients, it is a place for intercultural exchange. There is a stage open to local amateur artists: concerts of all kinds, contemporary art exhibitions, café-debates, screenings, lectures...
