CASTEL JOLLY
One of the most beautiful bed and breakfast in Rennes near the park of Thabor.
These magnificent guest rooms, located near the Parc du Thabor, offer unique Rennes-style charm. In the heart of a magnificent 1885 mansion built by architect Duval, 3 comfortable rooms: the Dufy, the Salvador and the Matisse. A splendid garden surrounded by century-old trees is the perfect place to stroll and relax. The beauty of the premises, tastefully arranged, will seduce you. Breakfast, with eggs from the garden's chickens and homemade jam, is delicious, especially in summer in the garden under the wisteria. Irresistible.

L’accueil de notre hôte est attentif et juste sans insistance mais efficace .
During our recent stay in Rennes, we had the pleasure of spending two nights at Castel Jolly, a beautiful bed-and-breakfast that felt more like stepping into a warm and welcoming home than just a place to stay. This villa from 1885 has been passed down through generations and completely redesigned by Marie, the architect and gracious host who has poured her heart into every detail.
The house is full of character, with stunning tile and marble floors, a solid wooden staircase, and cozy rooms that overlook a peaceful, green garden enlivened by century-old trees. Inside, every corner tells a story—bookshelves stacked with interesting reads, photographs of laughing children, and even Marie’s own paintings, which add to the warmth of the space.
From the moment we arrived, Marie made us feel completely at home, offering great recommendations and making sure we had everything we needed. Each morning, she greeted us with fresh bread and croissants from the bakery, along with a delicious breakfast and espresso in your room to start the day.
Castel Jolly is perfectly located—just 10 minutes from the heart of Rennes, close to restaurants, the open square, and the Abbey Notre-Dame en Saint-Melaine, which dates back to the 6th century. Yet despite being in the center of it all, the villa offers a quiet and peaceful retreat at the end of the day.
If you’re ever in Rennes and looking for a truly special place to stay, I highly recommend Castel Jolly!
