L'Escargole is the helicicultural farm of Jean-Claude and Marie-Laure Bizette, snail farmers in Melesse. Come visit their farm's large snail park and leave with the picturesque products they make at home, shells, mini-bites, crunchy snacks, short snacks and other snail-based treats. The concept born in Mélesse has come a long way. Created in 2008, Nous anti-gaspi is the first of its kind to offer supermarket rejects at knock-down prices (on average 20% cheaper): fruit, vegetables, meat, beauty products, cleaning products... In short, a bent product, stained packaging, poorly-printed packaging, or a product that's close to its sell-by date will still be perfectly consumable! So when you consider that an average of 30 kg of products are wasted every year by the French, it's a good idea to try and do something about it... The good news: since 2022, the brand has also been present in Rennes city center, in addition to its 28 other outlets.
