Le Rheu Maraichers - a.k.a. Laurie and Matthieu Vallais - grow sustainable fruit and vegetables. At this direct-sales farm, people come to shop for the week. In addition to produce grown on the farm, the store offers local products, often organic (cheeses, meats, farm ciders, eggs...). It's impossible to leave without fresh spinach! We're already salivating at the idea of frying it in a pan with shallots in salted butter. When the weather's nice, strawberries are a joy to pick. Chickens and rabbits enjoy a visit from young and old alike. Just a stone's throw from Rennes, the store has retained its rural, family feel.
