An industrial site of the dam at the mouth of the Rance estuary producing hydroelectricity from renewable energy

Inaugurated in 1966 by General de Gaulle, the tidal power plant is located at the mouth of the Rance estuary between Dinard and Saint-Malo. The dam's industrial site produces hydroelectricity, a 100% renewable energy source powered by the tides. The Espace EDF Odyssélec presents the workings of the plant through a fun exhibition and a panoramic view of the engine room. An original visit with a fantastic viewpoint.

Open all year round. Depending on weather & tide conditions (closed Sundays, Mondays and public holidays). Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 12:30pm and 1:30pm to 6pm. Free admission. Regular events and exhibitions. Credit cards and checks not accepted. Guided tour (1h).
