The gardens of Château de la Ballue are a unique poetic site, listed as a Monument Historique. They are inspired by Baroque Italy. A labyrinthine path takes you to the regular garden. It is intended as an initiatory journey. The château's reception courtyard houses the orangery, a boutique and a tea room. Chateaubriand, Musset, Balzac and Hugo have all stayed here. The château has 5 guest rooms, including a suite with swimming pool, spa and sauna.

Refuge LPO (Ligue pour la Protection des Oiseaux). Remarkable garden. Quality Tourism. Closed from November 12 to March 15. High season: open daily from 10am to 6:30pm. Mid-March to April 30 and October 1 to November 11: open Thursday to Sunday inclusive. May 1 to September 30: open daily. Free admission for children under 10. Adults: €10.50 (10-18 years, students €8.50). Groups (15 people): €8.50 (guided tour available in English or French). Catering (snacks, tea room). Spa, heated outdoor pool.

A voir absolument
Le château est très beau, sobre, symétrique et entretenu parfaitement. Puisque il dispose de chambres d'hôtellerie haut de gamme, il n'est pas visitable à l'intérieur.
L'accueil est jeune et chaleureux et le salon de thé propose un menu limité mais bien adapté à une pause après la visite. Le service est impeccable et sympathique.
La visite vaut certainement un détour!
