KERMORVAN PENINSULA
Read moreClassified as early as 1978 at the Conservatoire du Littoral, this peninsula was spared by real estate projects. The only constructions present are elements of fortifications of different eras (some due to Vauban), the fort de l 'Illette (which does not visit and is not accessible), as well as the lighthouse of Kermorvan. The latter, up to twenty meters and square form, is connected to the mainland by a granite bridge. Its construction dates back to 1849 and its luminous reach is in the 22 miles, a forty kilometers. Automated since 1994, it is remote controlled from Brest and does not visit. The peninsula is a pleasant place to walk. A hiking trail allows you to turn around and enjoy beautiful views. On the south side, after borrowing the Croaë Bridge, you can admire the Convent harbor and its harbor. North side, a breathtaking view of the beautiful and large beach of White Sablons.
