Isolated in central Brittany, Huelgoat attracts many visitors all year round. And deservedly so, given its rich heritage. Did you know? Jack Kerouac, the leading writer of the Beat Generation, had distant origins in the Huelgoat region. It's only natural that this café-library should pay tribute to him by adopting the title of his most famous book. Victor Segalen is another literary figure with links to the commune. S'arrêter Sur la route, un après-midi d'automne à Huelgoat, c'est trouver la chaleur qu'il n'y a pas dehors.
Et ce, aussi bien dans l'accueil, la déco, les bouqins que dans les plats; tout est proposé avec passion !
Cake provençal (parce que je visite la Bretagne en décembre et que j'ai le mal du pays) et une soupe thaï divine ont égayé ma journée, en plus de régaler mes papilles.
Les livres proposés, occasions, neufs, à thème... il y en a pour tous les goûts, tous les âges et tous les budgets
Bel échange avec le propriétaire des lieux qui a bien choisi sa reconversion !
