Isolated in central Brittany, Huelgoat attracts many visitors all year round. And deservedly so, given its rich heritage. Did you know? Jack Kerouac, the leading writer of the Beat Generation, had distant origins in the Huelgoat region. It's only natural that this café-library should pay tribute to him by adopting the title of his most famous book. Victor Segalen is another literary figure with links to the commune. Come and discover these two authors, as well as many others, at this café-library.

Me and my mum have been visiting Sur La Route ever since we moved to Huelgoat, 5 years ago. The owner is a lovely man and always very welcoming and friendly to us. The selection of books is excellent and prices are very fair. We always have great drinks and food here. It's fantastic to see such an array of homemade cakes and savouries as well as local produce and bio products offered. I would highly recommend calling in, whenever you are in Huelgoat. Thank you ????

Chouette étape pour le choix de livres anglais d'occasion et les romans français neufs ou occasion. Une cuisine simple et fraîche, bien épicée juste ce qu'il faut être un accueil très chaleureux même pour nous groupe de 13. Réservez pour un groupe bien sûr. Je reviendrai sûrement sur la route ????
