Isolated in central Brittany, Huelgoat attracts many visitors all year round. And deservedly so, given its rich heritage. Did you know? Jack Kerouac, the leading writer of the Beat Generation, had distant origins in the Huelgoat region. It's only natural that this café-library should pay tribute to him by adopting the title of his most famous book. Victor Segalen is another literary figure with links to the commune.
