Finistère is the department that counted the most mills in its territory: there are no fewer. 3,800 mills listed. Powered by the Mignonne, the river of Daoulas, this mill was built in medieval times and served as a millstone from 1936 to 1970. Completely refurbished and transformed into a museum, it offers a museum that plays a role in its operation. The technical aspect is also addressed, with machinery mechanisms still under way. Finally, the headquarters of the Finistère Mills Association have settled there and can pass on many information to the fans of this heritage.

Opening time and information on BRIDGE MILL

Open in July and August: every day from 10.30am to 6pm. Open off-season for groups by reservation. Open and free during the Heritage Days of Country and the Moulins, each year in mid-June, like at the time of the European Days of the heritage, mid-September. Free for under 10-year-olds. Adult: €3 (students, unemployed people: €2). Child (from 10 to 18 years old): €1.50. A discount is granted on presentation of ticket of the exhibition to the Abbey.

Quand on est à Daoulas avant ou après la visite de l'Abbaye pourquoi ne pas passer un moment dans ce petit musée de la meunerie très intéressant et instructif, grâce entre autres à des petits films interactifs, sur l'activité d'antan des nombreux moulins alors en activité dans le Finistère notamment.
Vaut l'arrêt.
