Battle of the Atlantic Memorial Museum, housed in the massive concrete of a German casemate, offering limited space.

It is the only museum in continental France to treat Atlantic battles! Built since 1990 on the spot for historical events and installed in the bunkers of the battery of Kerbonn on the great site of the point of Pen Hir, this memorial, built under massive concretes of a German blockhouse, offers in a reduced area a complete view of the battle. It pays tribute to all sailors with average age 20 years, varnished at sea, with a particular attention to the crews of the merchant vessels. The memory of the Free French Forces Naval (F.N.F.L.), whose men mostly came from Brittany, is also celebrated with exposed flags. Photographs, cards, models to remind the free people of the world of the sacrifice of those who died in the sea during these great battles for freedom and never to forget. Far west to the point of Pen Hir stands the monument on General de Gaulle's request to commemorate the Breton sailors, first companions to be rallied to a free France…
