Higher education Brest

The only multidisciplinary university in Brittany, UBO offers a large number of training courses in six cities: Brest, Quimper, Morlaix, Vannes, Saint-Brieuc and Rennes. This ensemble represents 131 specialty licenses and masters courses, 42 professional licenses and 16 DUT, of which 24 are related to other universities. The UBO, consisting of six training and research units (medicine, letters, law, sport, etc.), seven specialized institutes (IEMU, IUT, IPAG…), two engineering schools and a midwifery school, have nearly 18,000 students registered each year. The Naval School is located in the commune of Lanvéoc, on the edge of the Brest harbour, and covers a campus of 100 hectares. Located on the Crozon peninsula, it offers an exceptional setting for cadets undergoing initial training.
