This very famous family estate is run according to the virtuous precepts of organic and biodynamic viticulture. It produces wines that are appreciated all over the world, as far away as Thailand, that's all. The prices charged are certainly much higher than the average in the region, but what a wonder when you come to taste them... by appointment only! You can be seduced without sulking your pleasure by the Muscat Roche Moulée with its beautifully voluptuous fruitiness, the lively and salty Zind or the Pinot Noir Heimbourg, a wine that can be kept deep and velvety.

Prenotato tre mesi fa la nostra degustazione per oggi alle ore 10.30, tra l’altro senza possibilità di portare il nostro cagnolino, a differenza di tutte le altre cantine, arriviamo in azienda e ci dicono che sono chiusi.

L'un des plus beaux domaines d'Alsace sans aucun doute. Des acidités mûres d'exception et une finesse gastronomique indubitable font des vins de Zind-Humbrecht la réputation et le respect des vins de la région dans le monde entier.
Il est à noter que le travail des vignes est entièrement manuel/animal, sans passage de machines, ce qui en fait un des précurseurs du respect du terroir.

Slightly more formal feel than most family wineries in the area but well worth the paid tasting here to get familiar with the top tier of Alsatian wines - the best we had our entire trip. Also nice because it’s one of the only wineries where the winemaking and tasting rooms take place onsite surrounded by the vineyards.
