Things to see and do Pleumeur-Bodou

It seems that the village of Asterix is located in Côtes-d'Armor. Would it be that one? Not really, but built as part of the building of young volunteers, it has benefited from the archaeological discoveries made in the region. You can discover the life of our ancestors the Gallic and, above all, participate in the Gaulympiades, such as the race of the menhir driver or the maritime contests. Attention, nothing to do with the famous Parc Asterix near Paris, and rather aimed at the youngest. Here, pedagogy and quiet games are the program. Be aware that this money will be used for humanitarian purposes, for the development of schools in Togo in Africa. More than 50 000 euros have been collected since 1996, allowing for 3300 children to be enrolled in 10 villages.

In the family of leisure parks, the Ecocentre Trégor holds a special place. Resolutely turned towards the discovery of nature and permaculture, this preserved space of two hectares, dedicated to raising awareness of environmental issues through games and discovery, offers four interpretation trails (harmonies vegetable garden, energy, nature and sensory), an escape game, a shop of local products and a restaurant in summer, as well as many workshops and courses throughout the year. A place to recharge your batteries and learn as a family.

Located between land and sea, Pleumeur-Bodou is an authentic and contrasting commune. Of course, we come here to enjoy the coastline and its magnificent landscapes, never the same because of the amplitude of the tides. But it would be wrong to neglect the interior, which includes castles, chapels and many hiking trails, whose maps and descriptions you will find here. Ask also where are the sublime coastal moors of Bringuiller, on the Landrellec peninsula: you will go there for a walk before visiting the Planetarium or the Radome, a historical monument, the first antenna intended for intercontinental links via the Telstar satellite, in 1962. Don't miss the Ile Grande and its varied landscapes, between marshes, dunes and granite quarries. A 7km marked trail goes around it, in about 2h30.
