In the Alsatian Vosges, the Melkerei (marcairies in French) have been part of the landscape for centuries. These summer farms still house a few herds of cows and their janitor(Melker). At the Marcairie du Frankenthal, you will be treated to dishes based on good local products: soups with vegetables from the garden, hiker's planks (cold cuts, cheeses), seasonal fruit tarts, yoghurts from the farm, cottage cheese with kirsch...
