LE PETIT V

Caviste

Recently opened in Vézelay, this wine cellar is an excellent opportunity to stop off on your way up to the basilica, halfway between the start of the main street and its forecourt. Wilfrid and Sophie welcome you in the dining room or on the small terrace to taste wines and local produce, gourmet platters or Burgundy snails. All in a warm and friendly atmosphere, with a very good selection of local wines. Don't hesitate to ask for advice; we're always happy to help. Highly recommended!

BIÈRES DE LA COLLINE

Craft brewery and microbrewery

If you're a beer lover, then it's impossible to pass through Vézelay without taking a break, down in the village, at this independent microbrewery installed in 2019. Here, all the beers are brewed and bottled by hand in small quantities. Thus, each vintage is unique and composed of ingredients from organic farming. Among those proposed, we like the "Cuvée Blonde bio" with ginger, as well as the brunette with spices. Two very nice discoveries, among a generous and tempting offer!

VEZELAY WINE CLUB

Caviste

Installed in a former church, this wine cellar is an extension of the magnificent boutique opened in 2021, My Découvertes by Julien Cohen. The person in charge of the place, Morgan Morin, will welcome you and will be able to advise you in the large choice of Burgundian wines, beers and spirits present here. Moreover, the establishment is a wine bar. With, in accompaniment to the tastings, boards of cold cuts or cheeses in particular. All this to be tasted in the vaulted cellar of the 12th century or on the pleasant terrace. A place to discover absolutely.

LA CHABLISIENNE

Wine and alcohol cooperative

The story began in 1923, when a handful of winegrowers set up a cooperative winery in the heart of the Chablis vineyards. Since then, La Chablisienne has grown to some 300 members, including 200 winegrowers and 5 prestigious vineyards, representing no less than 25% of the Chablis vineyards. In their cellar, located just a stone's throw from the basilica, you can expect to make many discoveries. All the more so if your stay here doesn't include a visit to Chablis, where another cellar is of course available. Of particular note are the excellent introductory wine-tasting courses on offer.
