Concerts, theater, street walks... Every year, in January, Sens celebrates the Middle Ages during two very festive days.

For the people of Sénonais, the Donkey Festival is one of the highlights of the year. Every year, towards the end of January, on a Friday and Saturday, the famous animal is celebrated. This tradition dates back to the Middle Ages, when the locals mocked the clergy by dressing up in this way. Of course, mockery is out of the question. La Fête de l'âne has long since become a festival of the arts, with exhibitions, lectures, concerts, carriage rides and other events in the streets of the town. Cancelled in 2024, let's hope for its return in 2025!
