This sawmill is one of the few in Alsace to have kept its machinery intact
You can't miss the impressive, majestic 25-meter-high brick chimney! Listed as an industrial heritage site, this sawmill-turned-museum is well worth a visit, as it is one of the few in Alsace to have kept its machinery intact. The sawmill was listed on the Inventaire supplémentaire des Monuments historiques in 1997. It houses a Farcot-Corliss steam engine dating from 1893, as well as a 40m3 Cornwal boiler. A must-see visit to realize the genius of our ancestors and their daily lives of yesteryear. Well done!
