Wines and spirits Chitry

The estate's vineyard covers 30 hectares and is divided between Chablisien and Auxerrois. Rigour and tradition are combined to offer us great wines that have won awards. Among them, a Beauregard, in Chablis Premier Cru, a Burgundy Coulanges-la-Vineuse, and the Burgundy Chitry of course. Also worth a visit: L'Auberge du Château, a traditional restaurant that offers exhibitions of regional and international artists. And above all, some magnificent rooms furnished in the 19th century.

Olivier and Nelly Morin raise their vines on 12 hectares, and propose white and red Burgundy Chitry wines, but also Chablis, Burgundy Aligotés, Irancy wines and Burgundy crémants. It is in the respect of soils and cultures that grow their vines, and that are elaborated balanced wines, fruits of a soil which knew to keep all its natural richnesses. In fact, the Morins have won numerous awards: each year, their production is distinguished by the best specialized guides!

The Chalmeau family has been cultivating vines in Chitry for more than two centuries. Today, the estate covers 18 hectares managed by Edmond and his son Sébastien Chalmeau. In the catalogue of this beautiful house, Burgundy Aligoté, Burgundy Red, Burgundy Chitry white, rosé and red, but also Chablis and a sparkling wine of golden pearl quality and sacy grape variety. Note that Chitry wines have their own appellation bourgogne chitry. A very nice address to discover absolutely during your stay in the Chablis area!

The estate has been located in the commune of Chitry-le-Fort for 4 generations, and since 1993 the village has had the right to identify its wines under the appellation "Bourgogne Chitry". The Domaine Michel Colbois has 20 ha spread over the Chablisien, for white wines in aligoté and chardonnay, and red and rosé wines in pinot noir. In particular, we recommend the Chitry Rouge Cuvée Harmonie 2017, awarded in 2020 by a famous oenological guide. And for those who do not consume alcohol, Michel Colbois also offers tasty grape juices, flat or sparkling.

Séverine and Lionel Jacquet have taken over this 16-hectare estate, where the combination of technical and commercial training and the enrichment of family experience have enabled them to combine modernity and tradition in the cultivation of their vines. Quality wines often cited and rewarded. For example, the Saint Bris 2018 won the Gold Medal at the ^29th Concours des Vins du Grand Auxerrois 2019. Also on offer are Chitry burgundies, aligoté burgundies, ratafias and crémants.
