A warm and welcoming address offering Italian specialities for a family and gourmet cuisine
In the heart of Rixheim, an address that brings together families, friends, workers, couples... it's Il Pastaïo. In a few words: simple and good. You have a view of the counter, the takeaway and the kitchen. A warm atmosphere enhanced by friendly, smiling service. The menu is concise: a dozen pizzas, pastas, tarts flambées and desserts. We've opted for a small, well-mastered menu. However, some of the offerings are more appealing: Indian, snail and Savoyard pizzas. On the plates, the portions are generous with sauce and toppings, which is very much to be appreciated at such low prices. Tasting verdict: it's good, simply gourmet and comforting. The cuisine is more family-style and gourmet than traditional Italian. The pizza dough holds up well, and the tomato sauce is tasty. However, we prefer the homemade pastas, whose sauces are perfectly mastered, with a special mention for the tagliatelle forestière. From the installation to the bill, everything is there to ensure you enjoy a good meal. It's easy to see why the place is full all week long, and if you run out of space, you can just take away.

Non seulement vous pourrez manger des pâtes fraîches et d’excellentes pizzas. Mais pour les amateurs de cuisine italienne, il y a également possibilité d’acheter certains produits frais dans la boutique.
Propre, lumineuse, moyennement bien décorée, la salle est un petit peu bruyante à mon goût. C’est dommage car l’architecture du bâtiment permettrait de faire un endroit bien plus cosy.
Le service est rapide, professionnel et courtois. Toutefois attention : à chaque plat commandé, on vous proposera de rajouter un extra, parfois facturé plus de 6€… Soyez vigilant, ça s’apparente à de la vente forcée ou du moins vivement suggérée…
La carte des vins est petite, mais les prix très corrects, tout comme ceux des desserts d’ailleurs.
Les plats sont certes bons, les assiettes bien chargées et la pâte à pizza est excellente. Toutefois, je trouve les tarifs vraiment très, très chers ; excessifs mêmes. On voit que la direction table sur une clientèle de frontaliers peu regardant sur leur porte-monnaie.
Dans l’ensemble, l’impression générale reste tout de même plutôt bonne. Je ne peux que conseiller la cuisine. Mais préparez-vous allonger les billets…
Nous avons profiter de cette belle terrasse, et déguster de très bon produits, bravo au chef et son équipe.
