A passionate winegrower for as long as he can remember, Xavier Julien was determined to create his own estate one day. After completing a BTS in Viticulture-Oenology, he planted his first vines in 1997 in Auxerre-Vaux (at a place called La Côte-d'Or). Now managing 4.7 hectares (in Auxerre and Chablisien), he is the only independent winegrower based in Auxerre (or, to be more precise, on its outskirts, in Vaux). He produces Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, including a Burgundy Côtes-d'Auxerre "Terroir de Vaux", another called "La Côte d'Or", and a Côtes-d'Auxerre rosé.
