MIRADOURO DE SÃO DOMINGOS
Well signposted and accessible by car via the N313 road from Armamar to Fontelo, this belvedere, perched at an altitude of 758 metres on São Domingos mountain, offers travellers an exceptional panoramic view of the countryside. On a clear day, you can see the districts of Viseu, Vila Real and Porto. Peso da Régua, the Serra do Marão and the sanctuary of Nossa Senhora dos Remédios are also visible. Next to the lookout, the medieval chapel Ermida de São Domingos, a 1,000-year-old lady, is renowned for its "fraga da fertilidade" (fertility rock).
