L'Atelier des Margouillats is a must-see in the artisans' village. Since 1986, in an authentic Creole hut, Josiane Even has been modelling hand-made earthenware objects, with colors and motifs inspired by Réunion Island: straw-tails, palm trees and flamboyants decorate perfume burners, lamps, miniature huts and other objects. All the pieces are unique creations, crafted with passion by Josiane and her faithful teammate Ariel Iafare. The workshop-boutique is well worth a visit in itself.
