The Taranna zoo features free-ranging animals and human mannequins in cages.
A zoo that's the opposite... where animals, including Tasmanian devils, roam free. Birds, kangaroos, wallabies, opossums: you can observe the local flora and fauna while strolling along a shaded path around the property. Take a look at the schedules for the various presentations on the site. This animal sanctuary is also a center for the study and preservation of Tasmanian devils. Every day, feeding of the little devils is accompanied by an awareness-raising "course" on their protection.
