Things to see and do Vrutok

This is the source (Извор на Вардар/Izvor na Vardar, Burimi i lumit Vardar) of the Vardar, the country's main river (380 km long, 76 km of which is in Greece). At an altitude of 683 m, the water emerges from karstic rocks at a very high flow rate (1.5^m3/second), next to the Orthodox Church of Archangel Michael, erected in 1924. Particularly pure and cold, it is used by local farmers, as well as to feed large trout-breeding ponds, which can be found on the menu of many Vrutok restaurants.
