MAISON SUR LA DRINA

A photo not to be missed: this unusual wooden house (Kućica na Drini/Кућица на Дрини) sits on a rock in the center of the Drina River, between Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. First installed in 1968 by a group of Serbian swimmers, it has been washed away several times and rebuilt. On the Bosnian side, it can be approached by driving 2 km northeast of Skelani, then turning right and finishing on foot to the bank. On the Serbian side, the terrace of the Studenac restaurant, north of Bajina Bašta, offers a better view.
