This museum focuses mainly on the many stećci necropolises in the surrounding area and the terrible siege of Goražde (1992-1995).
Established in 2016, this museum (Zavičajni Muzej Goražde) is located in the city center on the right bank, near the Alija-Izetbegović pedestrian bridge. It houses collections of ethnology, archaeology and history. The latter focuses on the living conditions of the inhabitants during the terrible siege of the town by Yugoslav and then Bosnian-Serb forces between 1992 and 1995. The archaeology section focuses on the many stećci necropolises in the surrounding area. Meticulous presentation.
