This Serbian Orthodox monastery (Manastir Dobrićevo/Манастир Добрићево) is one of the oldest in the country. It lies on the western shore of Lake Bileća, 13 km south of the city. It was founded on the banks of the Trebišnjica in 1232, then moved stone by stone when the lake was impounded in 1965. The nuns who occupy the premises let visitors in for a few minutes to admire frescoes created in the late 16th century by the painter and monk Georgije Mitrofanović, fragments of 15th-century frescoes and 18th-century icons.
