BAGO
This seafood restaurant is one of the most famous in the country. It's also one of the oldest, having been founded in the early 20th century. It's located 2.7 km southwest of downtown, near the Motel Most. In a carefully decorated room (and under the eye of Botticelli and Vermeer figures...), ultra-fresh Adriatic produce is served, superbly cooked and beautifully presented. Among the classics are: staple fish (šanpjer), grouper (škarpina), denti (zubatac), sea bream (komarča), sea bass (lubin) and squid (lignje).
