Castle with a romantic park and a library with more than 25,000 old books.
60 km from Turin, Masino castle and park dominate the Canavese plain. From a defensive role in the Middle Ages, it was gradually transformed into a pleasure house, with elegant interior decoration and terraces replacing the fortifications, to achieve a very luxurious result in the 17th and 18th centuries. The library houses over 25,000 antique volumes. The castle is surrounded by a romantic park with one of the largest green mazes in Italy.

Open Wednesday to Sunday, 10am to 5pm, March to December. 11 am to 7 pm from June to August (until 10 pm on Fridays). Admission to château + park: €15. Guided tour €21.
