CASTLE OF THE TOUR DE RY OR TOURDERIE

The construction of the dwelling dates from the early years of the Renaissance, but the tower, which gives the castle its name, must have been built a century earlier in the 15th century. Composed of a rectangular building flanked by a round tower with covered machicolations and surrounded by a moat, the castle is a perfect example of the architectural style of the time. Of the fortified gate, only two buttresses remain, which must have supported two turrets.
