THE CAJUN VILLAGE

The Cajun Village is a collection of restored Acadian homes that house charming boutiques. You can find pottery, Cajun food specialties, decorative items and souvenirs. The younger ones will go to the candy store. The site also hosts a café (try the doughnuts) and cottages to spend the night in bed & breakfast mode. It's not as good as the authentic Acadian villages of Lafayette, but it does provide a first contact with the Cajun way of life in rural Louisiana.
