FESTIVAL OF THE BONFIRES

Every year, the small community of Lutcher builds wooden pyramids, called bonfires, and sets them on fire on Christmas Eve. Legend has it that these fires show Santa the way. In addition to this big event that draws crowds, a festival is also held in the park at the beginning of the month with live concerts, cooking and bonefires contests ( bonefires are also lit during the festival), fireworks, small marathons, children's activities, craft and local food booths, etc.
