SISI INITIATIVE
Petero founded this organisation two years ago with the aim of promoting community tourism and protecting indigenous communities in Fiji. The association is called Sisi Initiative, which is the Fijian name for the country's endemic bird. Petero is widely involved in initiatives of the type, aimed at promoting indigenous communities and protecting their environment. He was invited to participate in the COP 21 in Paris as part of the Organization Pacific Indigenous network for the environment and indigenous peoples. Sisi Initiative brings together 6 villages and allows travellers to experience the activities of typical Fijian life in the village for one or more days. Participation in the gathering, farm, kitchen, mountain hiking and visit of sites. The money collected belongs entirely to the villages and allows for the education of children, for example. A very beautiful initiative that deserves to be known. Petero organizes tours in the village, excursions in the mountains, visit of waterfalls, tour in the forest… Do not hesitate to contact Petero for information and think to book at least two days in advance if you want to spend the night there.
