JURAPARC
This animal park, which opened in 1968, occupies a small communal mountain pasture of 9 hectares, halfway between Vallorbe and Le Pont. It is home to bears, wolves, Przewalski horses and bison. The Blanc family, who created and manage the site, also run the small inn where you can have lunch. Of course, the latter offers many bison specialties on its menu. These mastodons, which weigh nearly a ton for the large males, are quite prolific, with six to seven births per year, between May and June, sometimes a little later.
