HAWKSBILL

Named after the hawksbill turtle, the only spongivorous reptile (!), this restaurant is more of an emerging species. In 2010, it was the first commercial venue to open on this island of museums, hotels and marinas. In any case, it's a delightful stopover in front of Gary Player's golf green, with its sheltered terrace and open-air lounge for those in spiked shoes. Fifteen minutes from the Corniche, a great place for a country-style lunch (pasta, salads, grilled meats).
