SWISS CUSTOMS MUSEUM

Opposite Gandria, on the shores of the lake, this museum was the border guard's post until 1993. The last Swiss village before the border with Italy, the museum tells the story of the lives of former border guards and their families in isolation in the last century and explains the roles and functions of customs in Switzerland. Nicknamed the "Museum of Smuggling", it also traces the history of smuggling that has strongly marked this region.
