Located around 40 km south of Ludington (from where the ferry leaves for Manitowoc in the state of Wisconsin), this locality is ultra-famous for the sand dunes of Silver Lake State Park, on which it's even possible to drive an all-terrain vehicle (you can rent a dune buggy on site).
