MOGUL CASTLE

This castle, the highest in the region (1,600 m), was built at the end of the ^11th century, but was destroyed in 1300 by order of the House of Savoy. A punishment inflicted on those who failed to pay homage to the counts. It was rebuilt in the ^15th century by the Lords of Bosses, who owned it until the ^mid-18th century. Today's appearance is that of the rebuilt building: a rectangular, one-piece stone structure with geminated windows. It is used for temporary exhibitions and cultural events.
