Batang Ai National Park is part of Borneo's largest primary forest conservation area. It is adjacent to the Lanjak-Entimau Wildlife Sanctuary and Bentuang-Karimun National Park in Indonesia. Between them, they form 10,000 km² of protected forest. Its magnificent jungle and Iban-populated surroundings make an expedition to Batang Ai a must. It's also here that the chances of coming face to face with an orangutan are highest. Hiking, culture, ethnology and nature are all on the agenda. Due to the difficulty of accessing the site, you'll need to use a local tour operator.
