SQUARE STEINBACH
A square in the heart of Mulhouse, with a children's playground and exceptional tree species.
Surrounded by the Hôtel du Parc, the Théâtre de la Sinne and the Musée des Beaux-Arts, the Square Steinbach is a 1-hectare corner of nature right in the heart of the city. An intergenerational meeting place for picnics, jogging and children's play areas, it has been particularly popular since its redevelopment in 2017. The park takes its name from the Steinbach family, who lived in the Villa Steinbach, now the Musée des Beaux-Arts. It is home to some exceptional tree species, including the ginkgo, known as the "tree of forty écus".
