The Musée National de l'Automobile in Mulhouse is renowned for housing the world's most impressive automobile collection. With over 450 exceptional cars, the museum offers a captivating immersion in the evolution of automotive history. The adventure began in 1957, when the Schlumpf brothers acquired a former spinning mill. A few years later, this space was transformed into a magical place where automotive passion comes to life. The immense collection showcases a variety of gems, including Bugatti and classic vehicles that bear witness to elegance and innovation through the ages.
The museum's itinerary offers a variety of activities to make your visit as entertaining as possible. Climb aboard a tonneau car or go back in time a few decades by trying to start a hand-cranked engine. There are also virtual and augmented reality experiences to immerse you in a variety of worlds.
You can also drive the car of your dreams in our collection of legendary classic cars and modern sports cars that have left their mark on automotive history. Various options are available on the Musée National de l'Automobile autodrome or on the roads of Alsace.
Finally, visitors can get a glimpse of the collection from the little electric train that runs through the museum's aisles.

Opening time and information on NATIONAL AUTOMOBILE MUSEUM
Closed on December 25. In January, open weekdays from 1pm to 5pm and weekends from 10am to 5pm. February to April and November to January, open daily from 10am to 5pm. April to November, open daily from 10am to 6pm. Free for children under 3. Adults: €18. Children (aged 4 to 17): €11. Reduced rate : 14 €, family rate (2 adults and 2 children aged 4 to 17): 50 €. Tourism & Handicap label. Children welcome. Guided tour. Restaurant. Gift store. Entertainment.

The association has also set up an innovative transversal communication around the umbrella brand "Museums Mulhouse Sud Alsace". It has also set up a Public Service common to all the museums, which today offers a wide range of educational documents.
As a creator of events, MMSA is also at the origin of an event that is unique in Europe by its size and concept: "La Nuit des Mystères" (The Night of Mysteries), which counts more than 30,000 entries each year as part of a great treasure hunt in the museums and the city of Mulhouse.

Die Autosammlung dort hätte 5 Sterne verdient, jedoch scheint das Ganze etwas stiefmütterlich behandelt zu werden. Spinnenweben, Staub usw. passen nicht zu einer so edlen Sammlung. (-1 Stern)
Ein Besuch im Restaurant (der Kantine) lohnt sich überhaupt nicht, außer es geht nur ums satt werden. Scheint zwar hygienisch und sauber zu sein, aber nur lieblose Fertiggerichte. (-1 Stern)
Ein Besuch lohnt sich für Autoliebhaber, aber es wäre Luft nach oben.
Le site est bien aménagé, la visite est guidée avec des numéros, ce qui rend la rend instinctive et fluide.
Chaque voiture est accompagnée d’informations sur son histoire et le contexte de sa création. Il y en a vraiment pour tous les goûts, notamment une partie dédiée aux voitures de course.
La section “Chefs-d’œuvre” est un vrai coup de cœur pour moi : des voitures de prestige sublimes, qui témoignent du luxe et du raffinement d’une autre époque.
Mention spéciale à l’exposition temporaire sur Tintin, très originale, avec des images exclusives sur la création des bandes dessinées et des maquettes miniatures des voitures vues dans ses aventures !
Nous avons passé un peu moins de 2h dans le musée, une très belle expérience, que je recommande chaudement !
