A twenty-meter tower offering superb panoramic views of Mulhouse and the surrounding plains and hills.
Right next to the zoo, in the Rebberg district, stands the Tour du Belvédère, a twenty-meter-high metal structure reached by a staircase. The tower offers a superb panoramic view of Mulhouse and the surrounding area, the Alsace plain and the Sundgau hills. The 360° view gives glimpses of the Vosges, the Black Forest and, weather permitting, the Swiss Alps. At the foot of the Tower stands a memorial to the former Tambov soldiers, a painful reminder of the deaths of 17,000 draftees during the Second World War.
